The monster in the cupboard
The gremlins under the bed
The boogie man outside the door
Are nasty thoughts inside your head

The dreams of Father Christmas
The Easter egg feasts
The birthday party in the park
Put aside the fear of beasts

Holidays by the sea
Ice-cream covered hands
Jumping in the muddy puddles
And sparkly hair bands

These are thoughts of childhood
The days were long and hot
Hold them in a special place
As they will soon be forgot!
